Snack time doesn’t get easier than this.


Makes: 2 adult or 4 toddler portions
Difficulty: easy


  • 1/2 a cucumber
  • 1 medium sized carrot
  • 5.3 oz container of natural yogurt
  • 1/2 lemon, squeezed
  • Naan or pita bread


Finely chop the cucumber and coarsely grate the carrot, then put them both in a bowl.

Add the yogurt and add a drop or two of lemon juice to taste.

Stir it all together and you’ll have a delicious raita.

Serve with pita or naan breads.

See how small your child can cut the cucumber. Grating carrots and stirring the mix is also popular. An example toddler portion for this would be 2 – 3 tbsp of dip and 1/2 – 1 mini pitas or 1/4 – 1/2 pita bread (sliced into strips).
